Nail bed burning tester is mainly used to test the flammability performance for stuffed toys and plush toys according to ASTM standard. Put the specimen on the flammability testing nailed fixture, light the specimen with specified fire source, count the burning time and burning statue, check if it meets the requirement of the standard.

Standard: ASTM F963 section A5

Flammability Testing Nailed Fixture Test Method:

1.Put the specimen on the flammability testing nailed fixture according to the standard.

2.Hold the burning paraffin candle whose flame height is 16mm, maintain the contact of candle with the specimen for 5s or until ignition occurs.

3.If the specimen melts away from the flame, remove the candle and maintain contact for the full 5s or until the specimen ignites.

4.If the ignitions occurs immediately, hold the candle steady and allow the ignited flame to move away.

5.Check the burning statue according to standard ASTM F963 Annex 5. Calculate the burning speed.
