In February of this year, the Association of Commercial and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers (BIFMA) released ANSI / BIFMA X5.1 - 2017 standard ANSI standard. The standard was firstly published by BIFMA in May 1974, and the standard was revised several times later. This version of ANSI / BIFMA X5.1-2017 for the latest version of the standard version, this version of the standard specifies the specific test, laboratory test equipment, test environment and office chair class safe, durable, structural minimum Recommended level. In line with the standard update, GESTER also has a corresponding test equipment.

Due to the increase in human weight, the revised content mainly increases the test load:

Section 14, backrest durability - seat load increased from 225 pounds to 240 pounds;optional test equipment:GT-LB13 Chair Backrest and Tilt Mechanism Durability Test Machine

Section 16, Casters / Seat Durability Test - Increases the cyclic seat load from 250 pounds to 270 pounds;optional test equipment:GT-LB09 Caster and Base Durability Testing Machine

Section 24, Structural Durability Test - Cycle - Add a new test.
