EN 71 Toys Scooter Steering Tubes Strength Tester apply to test the strength of toy scooter steering tubes,including resistance to downward forces and resistance to upward forces.

How To Test the Toys Scooter Steering Tubes Strength

1.Resistance to downward forces

Place the toy scooter on a horizontal plane and secure it so that it ill stand upright during the test.Check that the locking devices are corectlyengaged.
·A)For toy scooters with two handles, suspend a mass of (50+-0.5)Kg at the centre of each handle. (see Figure 1 a)Maintain the load for5
min. Determine whether the steering tube collapses and the locking devices are still operable and engaged.Remove the 50kg masse.Release the main locking devices and with the secondary locking device still engaged, load the handles with a mass of (25+-0.2)kg eachand maintain the load for 5 min. Determine whether the secondary locking device is still operable and engaged.
· B) For toy scooters with steering tubes without handles, perform the test using a load with a mass of (10+-1kg and (50+-0.5)kg
respectively on top of the tube.(see Figure 1 b)

2.Resistance to upward forces
Place and secure the toy scooter upside down on a podium(see Figure 3 c). Check that the locking devices are coectly engaged.·A)For toy scooters with two handles, suspend a mass of (25+/-0.2)Kg at the centre of each handle. Maintain the load for 5 min.
B)For toy scooters with steering tubes without handles ,place a mass of (50+-0.5)Kg on the end of the steering tube.Maintain the load for 5

min. Determine whether the steering tube has separated and the locking devices are still operable and engaged

1, Clean: Clean of ISO 8124 Toys Scooter Steering Tubes Strength Tester with cotton fabric before and after usage each time;

2, Anti-rust: Spray anti-rust oil on metal unit of the machine each week (Clean in 2 hours after spraying)

3, Lubricating oil: Add lubricating oilto rotating parts (screw) of machine every month
